Greatest SPi moment:

When Jon, Connie and I went to the unveiling of the 1994 World Cup logo at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna. SPi had produced the very first pins with the logo for that World Cup.

Funniest SPi moment:

I would have to say recently, when Jeff Bivens and I accidentally let a squirrel inside the Break Room from the back patio. Jeff said that the squirrel was being harassed by another squirrel, and when we opened the door to check on it the squirrel ran inside, down the hall and under a copy machine in the Mail Room. Laura Hobson gave me a towel that she had in her car so I could try to catch it. I looked like a Matador with that towel trying to get the squirrel to run back outside. I think Mike Bivens was actually the person that was able to chase it out!

Sports Experience (Playing, Coaching, Admin):

I was a ballerina for nine years and never really participated in sports myself. I did actually volunteer to coach my son’s AYSO soccer team when he was quite young. Fortunately for me, there was a Dad on the team who played adult soccer, and took on the role of head coach (what a relief). I also refereed AYSO games for a season.

Favorite Sports Event You Have Attended (World Cups, National Team Games, Hockey Games, etc.):

A favorite large sporting event would be the NASCAR races that I’ve been able to watch from pit road here in California. Otherwise, I have attended countless boat races, car races, baseball games, soccer games, hockey games, horse jumping and gymnastic competitions that my husband, kids, niece’s and grandkids have participated in over the years. There’s nothing like having a “Horse in the Race”.

Family:

Husband Jim of 33 years, a daughter, who is the awesome wife and mother of my three grandkids. Two sons, one a Construction Engineer and the other is a Firefighter/Paramedic.

Pets:

One large black German Shepherd dog that my husband and I adopted from a rescue.

Favorite Sports Teams (not soccer teams):

The Carolina Panthers, because my son’s friend plays for them.

The Minnesota Vikings, because my son’s brother-in-law is one of their coaches.

Hobbies:

Flying with my husband and son, and line dancing with friends.

Favorite Food:

Any Mexican food!

Favorite Movie:

A tie between The Gladiator, The Patriot and any one of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
